Tried the search options but nothing came up,

Im thinking of getting my door hinges and tail gate hinge paint stripped and anodised. Has anyone come across this or have any tips/ideas about it?

I have a black 2 door, and was thinking of getting the parts anodised in deep red.

in my mind it will look great and give a bit of individuality. I see lots of guys here painting but never anodising

Anodizing is only for Aluminum parts, are you sure those parts are not steel?

 

If they're not Alu, you could always get some fabbed up to replace the originals... if that's something you're interested in, pm me and I could probably put you in touch with a guy.

 

I believe the hinge half on the body is steel, and the half on the door is aluminum.

 

take a magnet to it, it will stick to steel but won't stick to aluminum (or most kinds of stainless steel)
