Default Another leveling kit question

I recently purchased my first jeep: 2011 JKU sport. I've got a long list in my head as to what mods ill be adding and have came to the conclusion that some sort of lift and tires will be first.

I've been lurking around here and a few other forums for the past few days and searching like a mother and I'm not sure if I'm more educated on the subject or confused.

My JKU is my DD and I drive about 50-70 miles a day. With that being said I've got the itch for bigger tires and a few more inches off of the ground. It seems that the teraflex leveling kit has been a popular choice around here for those of us on a budget and not looking to do a whole lot of wheelin'. I've got 265/70R17 BFG T/A KO's on right now (a bit better than stock) but I plan on going to 33's.

Now here's my question. I've seen a few threads around here saying to add rubicon suspension components to the TF leveling kit. My JKU sport has the towing package, hard top, and the springs are 17 in the front and 58 in the rear. Would there be a benefit in adding rubi shocks or springs to my set up?

I do plan on adding a bumper and winch but it will probably be about a year. I'm looking at the lod armor lite bumper so not as much weight compared to others.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Please don't hesitate to call me out on any flawed thinking portrayed in what I'm trying to do. I'm new, I know... but everyone was here at some point. Thanks guys.

The shocks yes the springs are the same depending on equipment. I just swapped 58 rears for 60's and got 1/4" is all. I did the work myself so no big deal but it would not have been worth it to pay to have it done. ride is the same. I run 33's with no issues. Minor rubbing when disconnected and fully stuffed.

I am new to this too, I am getting the TF leveling kit done some time next week on my 13 sahara. FYI there are two leveling kits. One is spacers and one is coils. I believe I have the same coils (not sure about shocks) as you. If you get a winch and a bumper, the spacer kit alone will not be enough for you, you will sag from my understanding. You will either need to go coil kit, full lift or the stiffer rubi shocks and coils. Supposedly they give you a better ride and a little extra boost.

That's my understanding anyways, like I said I am new to this too.

Why not do this yourself. I did and it only took me 3 hours with basic tools.save the $ for other upgrades. I have the coil spacers kit and I did rubicon 18/59 swap and I love it.

I don't have a driveway, or any friends who would be willing to help/borrow their driveway.
People in the Boston area will know what I mean.

Yeah from what I've gathered since I first posted is that I'm going to get some stiffer rubi springs. eBay has a bunch, just have to find the correct stiffness. Thanks for the input.

Check your springs first. I have found that many Saharas and sports actually have the right springs. If you look at the last 2 digits, it will gve you an idea of stiffness. Even the two back or front might not be the same either. These numbers should be on a plastic tag on your coils if they haven't been ripped off. On my Sahara, I actually have 59s in the back but 14s in the front (lolwat). So my front is extremely loose and my back is really tight (lolz). The higher the number, the higher the tension.

For example, if your front part number is 23423415aa and your rear is 634034058aa (not real part numbers) you'd have 15s an 58s. I believe "Rubi springs" are 16s and 59s.

Anyone have any guidance on wheel spacers for this setup using the stock wheels? Are they needed and what size?

I have read that if you run stock wheels you need spacers. I don't know any more than that. FWIW.
