Another MPG question
Alright guys and girls I know there are a couple similar threads but I wanna hear it from people that have the set up not just another internet ninja. I have a 2013 sport 2 door with the 3.6l v6 engine and 3:73 gears, I plan on running a 2" mopar lift with 35"s. I will also have metal front and rear bumpers, a tire carrier and a hardtop. What kinda power loss and MPG's am I looking at?
I had that with a manual trans. Hated the 3.73. It was really just an issue on the highway as it didn't want to be in 6th gear. So, a good example where regearing actually helps mpg.
No clue on mpg. Way too many variables. I now have 4.88 gears and 37" mud tires, plus a ton of weight. I get around 17 mpg cruising down the interstate. I probably got 21 stock.
The gas mileage sucks already. What's another 2 mpg? Ride your bike more to make up for it.

i think your dash is wrong. I show 14.8 on avg and have auto, 4:10's on 35's. I am also at 5500' of elevation. Been checking mine since lift & wheel install. Pretty close to accurate on the dash read.
Give or take the difference in engines and transmissions, you are headed well south of 20mpg. I'm lucky to see 20 on the hwy, 15-16 around town, and I don't even have big tires yet. Stock this Jeep would show 24 mpg @ 60 mph on the hwy at sea level and not running California gas. Subtract a MPG or two if you run California gas.
Yeah i dont trust these things at all. I am all city as my work is 5 miles from my house so thats probably why it reads low.
