I agree. I will eventually get the Expedition One. I have their Rubi skid plate and love their stuff. I just recommended the LOD since you asked for one with a rack and jerry can holders.

You can't go wrong with any of these. Good luck!

Rock Hard has Jerry can mounts (option) and has it's own integrated class 2 hitch as well as CB mount and HiLift mount standard. Plus they wont set you back as much as LOD. Just call them and make sure they include all the bolts, grumble..

Does it seem like the integrated trailer receiver is sturdy on the LOD... I tow a boat a lot during the summer and thats one of my big issues... I dont want to do damage to a bumper I will be spending a thousand dollars on. I love the LOD gen 2 bumper just wish I could find a deal on them or something. It seems a bit rediculous to spend so much money on something that is basically just used to mount a spare tire. But at the same time I would rather spend that money than to spend the money to fix a tailgate. I have the Rugged Ridge front and the price is right on the rear but seems like they are slippin on getting the tire rack for the rear bumper.

From what I have gathered from my month long research of bumpers, the LOD would excel in a towing situation. Their bumper not only bolts to the frame rails they also have you drill a couple of holes into the center cross member so the center of the bumper is anchored as well.

Hm... Didnt know you have to drill into the cross member. So it doesnt use the holes that the mopar receiver goes into... good to know. Do most bumpers need to be drilled somewhat for the back? or just a few.

The holes used by the factory receiver go through the cross member horizontally. The new holes required for the LOD go up vertically through the cross member.

Hey I just noticed in this image,,,,umm what holds the slider in the hitch?

I don't really like the idea of drilling, but for the bumper I would not necessarily so that is a bad thing, just some extra work.

The Expedition One does not require any drilling. I say one point scored for the EOne.

My problem is the score is tied and I need a tie breaker, lol or the wife is threatening make the choice for me before the tail gate falls off

The picture you are looking at is of our old bumper we do not make anymore. The Signature series bumper (That is shown below) bolts to the frame rails and the rear crossmember. The Crossmember has 2 bolts that go through it vertically and also 2 bolts that go through the crossmember horizontally that you can't see. The only one in the crossmember that needs drilled is the drivers side vertical hole. Let me know if you have any other questions.

As another point is scored for LOD with its great customer service. Thanks LOD for the post and clearing up how the bolts are laid out and what drilling is needed.

You guys ever going to offer free shipping or anything like that? I love your bumper but at the same time I am trying to justify spending that kinda of money essentially on something to mount my spare tire.
