Default Another Stock Gears+35 Thread...

What do you suggest? I have a Sahara 2 door Automatic with front dana 30 and stock gears (3.73)... 4" suspension lift kit... Do you think running 35's would be a nice idea? It's my daily driver... I wheel 1 or 2 times per month (kind of hard wheeling), don't want to regret after the 35's... I mean I don't want to break anything :happyc ry:
P.S. Now I'm running 33's with no problems

Since this is 'Another' stock gears/auto/35's post, you have read plenty of other threads on it, and you already know the answers you're going to get.

Regear and go enjoy...

I've been running 35"s for over a year now and I haven't thought it was too bad....I also have a tune, CAI, and magnaflow....I see about 15-16mpg for my general daily driving to and from work and about 20 on the interstate. It's not bad.

That being said...I have a non-agressive A/T 35" tire and I live on the coast so there are no hills. If I had to go up and down hills on a regular basis I would have regeared a LONG time ago.

I would go for it. In fact, I'm gonna.

Keep in mind:

Are you gonna sell your current set? If not, just hold onto them. If you don't like the 35s then you can sell them (you probably won't have that many miles before you decide yeah or nay) and go right back to what you have now instead of losing money on the 35s then spending even more on new 33s.

I had 33s put on my JK day one. I had 4.10s. It wasn't that bad, and I could even use overdrive often. Then I put 35s on and it SUCKED!!!! 3.73 and 35s? No way. I would start saving for a regeer if I was you. BTW I have an auto 2 door.
