UPDATE 7/13/2007: This kit has competed the proto-typing faze and is due to be released September 2007. Initial testing has found that in stock form the 3.8l only produces 130whp on up rated 35" rims and tires. With the RIPP supercharger running through stock exhaust manifolds, cats and manifolds, RIPP has found 220whp and 237lb/ft of torque. The Dyno curve is very linier and is in a usable power band. Driving an SDS powered Wrangler is like driving a V8 powered vehicle, acceleration is no problem and getting up to speed in no longer a problem or a task.

We are currently road testing two RIPP Powered Wrangler’s 1 the in house Wrangler x and the Rough Country Suspensions Corporate Vehicle a 07 Rubicon. These tests are finalizing the electronics and long term fuel trims. We are happy to report gas mileage has gone up nearly 6 miles per gallon in the city and over 8 highway, for more info please email mailto:

I'm surprised that the large amount of space in front of the engine isn't utilized in these different supercharger applications. I would assume that this extra space could surely allow for the perfect amount of space needed. Maybe we should start a Vortech petition!

Yeah this is totally awesome. I can't wait to see more. I can see a long, long future with me and my JK. All these mods and things coming out. Plenty of stuff to keep me busy for years to come.

Looks like a Centrifugal Type. Is it?

If so, Centrifugal Types usually ramp up and hit hard like a Turbo Charger, depending on the pump size. Any Dyno Graphs available?

Roots Type are usually the way to go, but take up a lot more space which really isn't available on the JK.

I am sorry guys...I should have posted this when I saw it. RIPP Motorsports had the JK with the Vortech blower on it at the PAJEEP Show...looked very nice. THe only thing I don't like is where the filter is...

Personally I would have liked to have seen the Procharger utilized. But the installation is clean. No modifications to stock electronics. They had additional fuel injectors to the blower system so the stock PCM does not have too...it IS pretty nice...

the guy I spoke with at RIPP said the system is pullied to make boost at 2000rpm...so it must be really fun. You DO have to run SUPER Unleaded though...
