Just run out and find a loading ramp or a big rock to put a tire up on. (your local 4wd shop may even have an rti ramp you could use) Check the coils, tire/fender clearance, brake line tightness, whatever else. It only takes a few minutes, and it's much better to find out while you are in town than when you are out in the middle of nowhere...

Yeah, I will have to do that.

Only a 1/4" drop with the bumper and winch? That gets me thinking too. Maybe I am getting too technical with this.

i just dad the tereflex 2.5 in kit with shocks installed and im running 35" bfg km2s. the ride is extremely rough, any little crack or hole in the road the the thing bounces like crazy. what should i do? different shocks? i have a new rear bumper coming and tire swing to put some more weight in the rear, but its pretty bad right now.
the front isnt as bad cause i have an arb bull bar with warn winch.

Oh yea also i have been reading on the forum about wheather or not to get adjustable front lower and upper control arms and or track bars??

thanks for the help, ive searched but not come up with much

The 2.5 coil kit, correct? How much actual lift did you get? Somewhere in the 3-3.5" range?

Read this section in the suspension FAQ's
"Q: What is Caster? How much do I need?"

Could you give a little more info on the ride being extremely rough? Is it stiff and harsh? Or is it caster related, and you are just flighty and being thrown around when hitting bumps? I haven't read any complaints on ride quality with the TF coils, but have seen a few posts that indicate that taking out the stock coil isolators may stiffen the ride. Might be worth asking the shop if they were removed.

Which 2.5" kit did you get?

yea its the 2.5 coil kit with the tf shocks. as for the actual lift im not sure cause i havent had the chance to measure it. the ride is pretty stiff and it seems that the back end bounces more than the front but in general its just rough as hell, i tried drinking a coffee the other day in it and that didnt turn out too well
ive heard that airing down the tires will help out ride quality a little?

check out my gallery. im running the 2.5" TF coil kit with shocks on 35s on my rubi and the TF leveling kit on the wifes sahara on 33s. IMO, those setups looks great for the tire sizes. i do plan to go to a 3" lift for my rubicon when i pull the trigger on bumpers and winch. my rubi has the JKS front trackbar and the rear axle is slightly forward but not enough where rear control arms are a necessity. when i go to 3" i will need rear control arms without a doubt, as well as fronts. wifes sahara needed nothing else in addition to the leveling kit. its a perfect height for her and her needs.

the rubi pics are all the same pic from different angles. there are "regular" pics of the stance in my gallery.

sorry for the crappy pic of the sahara.
