I actually just had to do this yesterday. I went to the dealer with my vin and the serial from the radio and my registration to prove I owned the Jeep the radio came from. Bought a alpine i209 last week.

I like it a lot actually had it for almost a year now apple car play is awesome. I need to upgrade my speakers. The part I like is you can control accessories with it like the winch and lights and you can get vehicle info from it and read trouble codes if you get a check engine light.
