I have a question about these things. Like other programmers, do these require the user to put the settings back to stock if taken in for service? I know with programmers that change the PCM calibration to the engine, you have to reset to stock, or it will usually fry the computer if the dealer tries to reflash with the aftermarket program installed.

Just downloaded the aev-conversions.com/products/procal_module/index.php manual from the AEV page[/URL] and it looks like it is locked to 1 vehicle at a time BUT if can be transferred to another vehicle (?)

"The module will lock to a vehicle’s VIN number and may not be used on another vehicle until the “RESTORE”
function is used on the original vehicle. The “RESTORE” function will reset a vehicle’s default settings to
stock and unlock the module for use in another vehicle."

So if you sell your Jeep you can in theory "Restore" the unit and transfer to another

It seems like a very reasonable price for what it can do

Redneck, from what I have heard and read, the AEV unit does not have the ability to change the fuel mapping, etc. It is strictly for the aux functions - daytime lights, TPMS, speedo recal, gearing recal, etc.

Not sure if this is what you were looking for exactly - hope it helps.

Highly recommended.
Turned OFF TPMS? or just set it to a lower PSI? I don't have sensors in the new wheels, can it really be turned off completely? It would be totally worth it just for that.

Thanks!

If you set the tire pressure to zero it is supposed to disable TPMS and the idiot light/chime.

I like what I'm hearing with this, the price seems to be just right too!
