I was wondering if anyone has installed the Rusty's offroad 3.25 lift? Pros and cons please.

Default Just got the Rusty's 2" coil spring lift today

I just got my Rusty's 2" coil spring lift from the UPS guy today. I will be putting it on this friday night. Don't know how it rides/fits yet. I plan on using a 3/4 inch coil spacer on top of the front coils to level it out. Hopefully, this puts me high enough where the tires don't rub the fenders. All it came with were 4 coils and 4 shocks. Do I need to move the brake lines with 2.75" of front lift?

Nope, the 2" kit only comes with 4 springs and 4 shocks. That's it.

I just put the same set up on mine with the adjustable lower control arms last week. It sits level and rides great!

Did you use bump stop extensions? I am worried that under full flex, it may stretch the brake lines?

Just the factory bumpstops. I have 35 inch toyo's on the 18 inch sahara wheels and I can stuff the tires pretty good, but they haven't made any contact at all. This set up is temporary for me untill the nth degree lift is available, but if I was going to leave it on, I would install some type of bumpstop.

Installed the 3.25 kit a couple months ago, no problems until I went to get it alligned, installed caster cam bolts and couldn't get enough caster. I ended up getting the lower adjustable arms to get the caster right, all OK now. If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't have gotten the cam bolts and just use the control arm, but I would get the upper arm instead. The ride is very close to stock and it feels like it handles better than stock. It doesn't come with bump stops because of the way the spring is wound, it coil binds like in NACAR cars and won't hit the stops. I would also recommend longer brake lines, and loosten the electrical wires for the anti-lock units. I haven't had any problems flexing the suspension although I haven't used the sway bar disconnect yet. I asked Rusty's about this and they said there wouldn't be any problems. I am running 35" Coopers on 16X8 rims.

I have rusty's coils... if you don't plan on disconnecting your swaybars, it will do just fine. If you plan on disconnecting your swaybars, they will hit your fenders. I will be adding bumpstops next weekend. I can provide and update when I am done. Other than that, they work great.
