Default Any thoughts on Hankook MT RT03 tires?

I finally got tired of looking at everyone elses awesome tires and ordered a set of hankook mt rt03 285/70/17s for myself. Does anyone have any experience or personal opinions on these tires? I wanted something that looks good and performs well off road. My next step is probably going to be a small BB lift or a leveling kit.

I owned a set of these. As good as any other MT off road, IMHO. However, while they work okay in deep snow, Like the OEM BFG KMs, they really do poorly on packed snow and ice. Since you're in SoCal, then this is probably not a concern. If you were in snow country, either get them siped or consider a hybrid tire like the Mickey Thompson MTZ, Goodyear Duratrac, Cooper S/T or Kelly Safari TSR.

I doubt I'll be doing much driving on snow or ice as long as they do good in the sand/dirt/mud I'll be happy! How do these tires look on the jeep? I haven't seen them mounted yet.

You might want to look at the new Falken RockyPeak AT. Jp magazine raved about them and they are on sale now too. Im trying to pony up my pennies and give them a try.

Default These are 315/75 17s

I love them. They do well in the rocks, excellent in the mud, quiet and smooth on road, and contrary to what a previous poster said, I've found them to work very well in deep snow. I aired down to around 15lbs and they did great in the 16 inches we got.

BTW, if it's not to late, ditch the 285s and get 315s. I had one 285 put on and it was almost exactly the same height as my stock tires. My tire store was nice enough to take it back and get me the 315s.
