Anybody know that this oil covered sensor is?

Anybody know that this oil covered sensor is?
I was just looking at my engine bay and noticed this sensor that appeared to be covered in oil. I'm not sure if this is normal or not. Any ideas? Is on the left side next to the intake manifold and near the firewall.
