Anybody running a 50inch light bar and a soft top?
Been thinking about getting one, but have searched and read the horror stories with the whistle (which looks like a easy fix by Rigid and their isolators) but, worried about the buffeting/flapping with the soft top. I have a premium soft top...
Just wondering if someone has this set-up and can talk about pros/cons
Thanks

Don't waste your money on it. You honestly can't use it in Alexandria and it's a fantastic reason to get pulled over useless you run a light bar cover.....but what fun is that? Spend the money elsewhere.

Same in California. You need to use covers if you have lights above the bumper.

My point was more targeted at the area. It's close to DC so it's a highly populous area where you'll have some expensive hardware on the jeep that will never get used except in the parking lot at the Nova Jeepers meetings. I want you to make an informed decision with your money instead of installing a target on your windshield.

I have a 50" light bar and pillar mounts place it just above my front windshield. I also run a spiderwebshade and while I get the occasional whistle from the light, it doesn't impact the soft top. I have the little rubber pieces wedged between the heat sink flanges.

I'm running one with Rigid Industries isolators. I like the look but honestly I rarely use it and if I had it to do over again, I would just skip it. Even with the isolators on a windy day where I'm getting cross winds it will whistle and at times it does cause very, very minor buffeting but not enough to complain about.
On a scale of 1 to 10 on modifications to do, I rank it a 5.
