I ordered the AEV front bumper, but I may have made a mistake... You see, if the wheel/tire combo exceeds the flares, then I have to change the flares. If I change the flares, then the AEV bumper doesn't match up anymore. The lines of the bumper are made to work with the original flares.

I was looking at some Toyo MT LT285/75R16s on 16x8s. Pretty much all the 16x8s I've looked at have a 4.5-5" backspace. That means they'll push out between 2-2.5" from the stock setup (according to this excellent calculator http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp). Checking the stock tires & flares, it looks like I have 1" of space to play with. So, if I go with a 5" BS, the tires will exceed the flares by 1".

For those of you running 33x11.5s, what does the profile look like? Anyone living in cities and parking on the street with this setup? Have you been hassled for your tires exceeding the flares?

The alternative is to try and cancel the AEV bumper and go with the Xenon flats and Shrockworks stubby. I love the Shrockworks stubby, but the crush cans on the AEV were a 'nice to have' for the city.

is there a law up there that won't allow you to have your tires sticking out a bit out the fender? i have that exact size of tires with 4.5" BS wheels, and the tires stick out about an inch or so, not bad at all
