If so, what did you get? I'm looking for an alternator that puts out 200+ amps at low rpms. Maybe an APS ( americanpowerinc.com )?

js.

The stock ones put out 160 amps, which is pretty good. That's for '07's. I've heard rumors that '08's are 140 amps.
What are you running that needs more juice?

Premier Welder (the underhood welder people) called the other day and said they have their HD alternator and welder setup ready for the JK. They're not cheap but I hear good things about them.

I thought about them, but he didn't mention needind a welder. I'd love to have onboard welding though.

I think you can get the alternator without the welder. They are located about 100 miles away from me and also manufacture the PullPal. I'm going to swing by in the next few weeks to pickup a PullPal and I'm going to take a look at their alternator and welder.
