Anyone with Firsthand RIPP Towing Experience?
I'm looking for input from those with towing experience both before and after a RIPP installation. Specifically, trailers in the neighborhood of 3k lbs and how RIPP did or did not make a significant difference in the JKU's towing capability. I frequently tow a travel trailer, and the stock engine is, to say the least, underwhelming. On flat ground it's livable, but I live in AZ and am very limited on where I can camp b/c there's no way I'd try to tow in the mountains with my current set up (pretty much stock everything with 3.73 gears).
Thanks in advance.

I have a JKU Sarah with 3:73s and tow my polaris 2up and it's trailer, weighing in just under 3k. In the mtn's of WV it did pretty good considering I turned off the OD. I do have a K&N FIPK and Jet Chip however.. I just purchased the RIPP Supercharger along with a few other toys that will all be installed in May. After that I can let you know how it does. I suspect I will see some ease of towing, but will let you know if you want, on how it does.

Great. Would be very interested to hear. If I go that route, I'm sure I'll regear as well, but it would be nice to hear input from both geared and 'un'geared RIPP users and their towing experiences. I 'think' I'd either go with 4.56 or 4.88 just so I could maintain the ability to tow with OD off and still be able to drive 60 mph and keep RPM at 3500 or less.
towing a travel camper trailer with my 2009 JK 2 dr. The RIPP absolutely makes all the difference in the world. I also have the Ripp Headers on as well.
4.88's, 5spd, I really couldnt pull the trailer without the RIPP. Mountains of PA, Canadian Maritimes are the areas I have been trailering.
