Question Anyone Get 2.5 or less with Teraflex?

I want to stay away from replacing drive shafts when I lift my Unlimited X. I have stock bumpers no winch. I will be running stock 32" or maybe 33s when they wear out so I only want about 2" of lift, or 2.5 max. Please assume I will be immune to the desire for 35" tall tires.

So back to my original question does anyone get the advertised 2.5 from the teraflex coil lift?

If I only want 2" would OME MD coils be a better choice?

Not doing either today because I have decided I want to get Track bars and front lower control arms at the same time. I will need to save some cash up and sell some toys first...

Why not run the TeraFlex leveling kit? It's 2" in the front and 1" rear.

That is almost cruel of you Joe. It seems like just when I decide "Nope I don't want spacers, I want coils." the teraflex leveling kit comes up again. At $129 it's hard to argue against for someone like me with a daily driver that ocasionally hits the trails and has no plans to rock crawl.

The best part is that I could do that today... Well tomorrow(payday), and if I later decide I need to I could upgrade.

Damn Joe, One post and you have me flip-floppin like a politician.

Hold out for the coils over the spacers. Better ride and stance over factory and a nice amount of lift (3" front, 2" back) with minimal other changes required. 32's or even better 33's will look fine. And if you do eventually decide you might want 35's... they'll fit too.

I'll admit in advance that I am in no way expert on this topic.....hence my asking you (Teraflex) about this.

I too am considering the leveling kit for all the same reasons as the OP, except I will have a 100lb bumper (so, net +60lbs over stock) and want to correct the sag that will make, plus get some lift all around for 33's. Here's the question - how does a 2" front and 1" rear lift affect the stock shocks? Seems that would over-stress them. Would shock extensions or new shocks not be required?

Well you're probably going to lose about an inch once you put on the new bumper so if you just want to level out the factory rake, throw on a 2" front spacer and leave the back alone...or you could put the rear 1" spacers on and have a total 1" lift all the way around (still have the factory rake, but would make more room in the back for 33's) and you wouldn't need shock extensions.

I've been wondering this myself......would anyone have any pics of a 2dr with steel bumpers and winch with the Teraflex 2.5 lift and 32's or 33's?

With a heavy bumper + winch I got 3" in the front and 2" in the back with the TF 2.5" coils. I also added a 1" spacer on the front to get rid of the factory rake and to make up for the heavy equipment up front. so I really netted 4" in the front and 2" in the back. I am really happy with it and thousands of miles later my driveshafts are all good.

Default Can I eliminate the factory rake and install the TF 2.5 BB?

I've decided the best lift for me is the TF 2.5" BB with shock adapters, however, I'd like to also in addition, eliminate the factory rake. Can this be done simply with the addition of an extra spacer up front? What size, 1/2"? Can you use the BB spacers and an additional front spacer together without any issues and achieve a lifted level ride?

Or just install a set of 2.5" coils?
