2009 jk stock but 32x11.5x17 tires.
I have really loud pinging,
I also posted here about this not to many answered.
I have been at the dealer they confirmed the pinging.
They told me it needs a flash update but,so far from May no update yet.
I asked them about it recently, they told me if there are more people with the same problem there will be a fix sooner
In the meantime I have no choice, but to put premium fuel.Anything less and my engine pings really loud and no power. With premium it is OK.

One idea is those experiencing pinging, have you tried to disconnect your batteries for a few hours to reset the computer? I have heard that there are different closed-loop maps for the fueling for the JK depending on the air temp and pressure (high vs. low altitude). I have heard of a few instances where the map gets stuck on the wrong setting for the weather. If it was stuck on a high altitude (low pressure) or low temperature fuel map and it gets really hot (like the recent heat waves) then it can most certainly cause knock. By disconnecting the battery for a while it makes the computer reset the fuel map to what it senses. It's free so no harm in trying this to see whether it helps, right?
