anyone have a 2" mopar lift
i know all the hype and crap about price but i want to know anyone with this lift how high it raised it. i have heard it is a superlift 4". i am going to run 35's and i am getting a good deal for this kit from the dealer. I will be happy with the piece of mind i will get from my dealer instaled mopar lift kit. not saying it is better or cheaper. just that my dealer is going to put all on and put it in writting that everything is warrentied even with my 35's that they will be mounting and balancing on some mt sidebitter rims. thanks
Sorry, don't have one on my JK to tell you hands on stories, but like you I am considering getting this and installed by the dealer too. I saw your question discussed about 'actual' lift being in the 4" range somewhere discussed either here or on so. I personally don't have the tools or space to install myself, and my dealership seems to be semi-mod friendly and after checking with specality 4X4 stores the cost at the dealership isn't that much greater than at those places. I think the grip about cost is that it is advertised as a 2" lift, but if considered a 4" then the cost is in line. I've put a Warn winch and mounting bracket on and it dips my front by 1 1/2". Am going to put on 100+ lb front and rear steel bumpers and run 35"'s. If actually a 4", then that weight will pull it down to maybe 3" or so (I think). Interesting that the Mopar is a Superlift rebadged, but Superlift doesn't advertise that they offer a 2" lift similar to the Mopar one (just a spacer kit for 2"). However, if you go to the Superlift website .superlift.com/instructions/5704.pdf[/url]) you will see that the Mopar is the EXACT as the 4" lift there (part numbers etc the exact same) , except for the springs, which they say at Mopar are 2" but Superlift is 4". Maybe its the springs that are different.
I'm a newbie, what the hell do I know. but like you trying to figure it out. Good luck!

Its been beaten to death all over the place and is the stuff of urban legend, but I am certain that the addition of any mod will NOT in and of itself void mfg or LT warranty. I purchased the JK and extended warranty frankly because of the warm and fuzzy hope that a dealership will step up to the plate and fix the big stuff if the time comes. A legit question that the dealership will raise on any mod is "what is the cause and effect" of that mod on standard equipment. A lift certainly won't hurt the air conditioner, radio or radiator. But may have a negative effect on suspension or transmission (the dealership could assert, and of course it is their obligation to prove the cause and effect)...and this is where things seem to be the great unknown. My dealer told me outright that if this Mopar lift caused any problems (and I also added 35" tires) that it would NOT be a factor in their judging if there was a cause/effect on other suspension components or transmission. He of course would not give that same warm comfort about other lifts installed elsewhere (and I am not sure I'm up to a fight if something goes wrong with a 3rd party product and install).......but hey.....he's a dealer trying to make a buck and we all know they lie and we all hate dealers. So,I think i'll just give up and do this mod cuz it all just hurts my little brain.

For reference, this particular dealer has installed over a dozen of these on JK's. They are very happy with them. I have the AEV 3.5 kit and mine sits a bit higher than the Mopar kit. The mechanic seems to think its about a 2 inch difference between the two. It seems less to me...who knows.
The AEV kit is a much better deal considering you get the high-steer kit and the Procal.
just my .02
thanks for the replies. this is deffenitaly not a puck lift.. anyway i was wondering if anyone knows how much it does lift it. your 3.5 aev lift is it really 3.5 or is it more. i am already sold on the lift quality and willing to pay the price but i want to make sure i am not geting a lift that is bigger than i want. i want to be able to clear 35 X 12.50 x 17 km2 on a sidebiter 17x 9 with 4.5 backspaceing in any flex and nothing more than that. thanks
Are you crapping me dude....1600 bucks
for an incomplete kit. Please...do some research and understand how your jeep's suspension works. I cannot allow you to spend that much money on a 'kit' with cam bolts. If you just want a lift for looks, go with a cheaper spacer lift. If you want a lift to use offroad do not use camp bolts, you will have problems, cause irreversible damage to your control arm mounts...and most of all, you will be unhappy with this product.

The picture doesn't show the control arms but their listed in the description. This is a very complete kit that alot of people on here can attest to. Uh...its cheaper too.
