Anyone have On-board Air in Rear Trunk?

There is a thread somewhere in this forum I think it's called something like "where are you mounting your oba" but there was one member who had the coolest set up I have seen this far. He built like a tray that attaches to the tailgate and the compressor and tank sat there with all the gauges hooked up to a cover that covered it...
I saved the photo of it and for the life of me I not know why I didn't sub to the thread ... But I'm gonna try to find it again. This is one of the coolest set ups I've seen because its still out of the way of the cargo area and garunteed to keep nice and clean !

I didn't want the New England winters ruining mine I'm the engine bay and wanted easy access, so I ran it in the rear cubby. I added some rubber pads to help with the vibration and noise. It's loud but I only use it when I'm on the trail. I just take the cover off when using it for an extended time like airing up to keep it cool.
The one thing is you have to get creative with running wires, especially if you don't have carpet. Also, you will need to extend everything as the looms they provide aren't long enough.

I had a hard time finding anything on this location so I am hoping this will spark someone who has also done this in addition to our Australian jeep friend above!
Bump!

Jeepwave - I just downloaded your attachment and used images.google.com to do the search (reminding me to save the images for later too!)
Here is that thread for those wondering too --> https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-t...ard-air-73703/

I have a Viair 400C that I'm going to get rid of because it overheats too easily. It's mounted in the engine compartment, wouldn't do that again, gets too hot in there. I took a quick drive the other day to meet someone to sell some Jeep parts. He wanted to see the compressor. I hadn't even turned it out, only drove like 15 minutes. It was burning hot. Almost burned my hand touching it.
I'm planning to get the ARB dual head compressor and mount it in the rear storage somewhere, probably behind the wheel well.

Carolina Metal Masters has a mount for the ARB Twin that goes under the passenger seat, then mount your air tank in the trunk. Lets you take advantage of somewhat wasted space under the front seat. It also has airspace on the top and bottom for cooling and airflow.

Its possible to run just the 2 gallon system with the twin pumps and it would all stay in the engine compartment.
We just wanted to be able to use air tools a little more with out running the pumps constantly so we opted to add to the system.
