Default Anyone have the Mr Grill inserts?

I was looking at getting these (in black); I like the way they look in the ad pic, but I was hoping someone already had them installed that can give an opinion.

There's a thread around here somewhere with people making them out of materials from Lowes/Home Despot for much less (yet looking just as good) than the parts guys are charging.

Here is a picture of what I did with a friend last week. We used zip tie blocks, epoxied them on the grill then took plastic gutter guard cut into strips and zip tied them to the grill. Don't bother with the aluminum and painting them or paying big cash.

I personally prefer the look of the Mr. Grill over the gutter guard installs I have seen. I was just wondering is this was functional as well as looking good. The other thread told me all I need to know. I guess I lack imagination, because I can never come up with the right combination of keywords to find what I am looking for.

I like my MrGrille inserts and would recommend them over anything else I've seen or owned. Now the only thing I worry about when following a cement or dump truck is a stone hitting the windshield,not the radiator as well.
