I ran 35's with 3.73s in an automatic for 3years and didn't mind. You won't win any races. I even pulled a deckover trailer with two 4x4 atvs and camping gear and never had problems.

If you have an auto, just turn OD Off and you can live with it until you get around to gearing.

Will this hurt the tranny at all?

I use cruise control for most of my driving anyway, i make it a point to try and stay below 3-4 rpms at all times for fuel savings.

Default 6-spd on 35's w/ 3.73

I haven't had any problems running 35" BGF KM2's with 3.73's on a 6-spd. I still can get off the line pretty good if I REALLY want/need to, and can cruise around highway doing ~75 in 6th gear.

If I need to pass or anything really steep, just drop back into 5th and chug on up.
Actually, the gearing helps me calm down some and not be as agressive (I drive like I am 18)

But gas mileage did go down. Probably somewhere around 18 mpg before on 32's and now around 15 mpg after 2.5" Lift and 35" BFG KM2's

BUT WORTH IT!!!!!

I did this for the last 2 months, I just re-geared to 5.13's and it's so much better, especially on the highway. It wasn't un-drivable before, just felt very under powered

I've been on 35s with 3.73 for 2 years now. Auto. No issues. Helps calm me down too lol its always everyone elses fault. I never turn off the o/d because I usually forget. Picked up a superchips in ohio this weekend. Hopefully I will get around to installing it tomorrow so I can see the difference.

Default Cough!

Wait a minute, did I just see someone say they were getting 19-20 MPG running 35's. This must be in a 2 door, with the body taken off, no spare tire and a anorexic girlfriend.

Tell me how!

I absolutely hated 3.73 with 35" on my 4dr. They only lasted 4 months before I installed 5.13's. I'm happy know!
