anyone repaint their grill?
I'm not talking about Plasti-Dip. My '14 JK was shipped up from FL to TN. I think they drove it up. I'm also assuming the drive may have dinged up my grill bc it came with a chrome one that wasn't on the window sticker. And it wasn't a freedom edition.
I did Plasti-Dip it black but i think it's getting old. I really want it to be body colored. Anybody try the Mopar aerosol paint/clearcoat to accomplish this? Is it possible to get an even, professional coat this way?

We're looking to go 1 of 2 ways.. either purchasing a new grille.. or having it wrapped.. Currently, it looks like it's been painted because of the lower part of the full bra.. and that's starting to grow on me.. But I would prefer the wrap grille as compared to plasti stuff.. i think if you're going to spray it with something.. best use something a bit more durable.. bed liner etc. or do as we did just to see how the front looks with the bra. I means it only comes in black.. with a mesh center..but you'd get the idea how it's look and if you want to continue to have it painted afterward. Also, in this case, I've been suggested to purchase a grille online for about 90 bucks.. then send it to the sign shop to have it wrapped.. it's sent back and I swap grilles.. I've never done this and could make a good write up. Being a semi seamstress.. I could see if I can alter the colors/fabric for the Mopar bra.. Hum.. this has me thinking..

That might not come with the rubber gasket on top or the clips you need. You might have to purchase them separately or re purpose the ones you already have on your factory grill. Some of those chrome grilles are just 3md on to the original. Did you check to see if it was that type? If you want quality and durability I'd pay the extra for one painted from the factory.

I was actually informed of Rock Auto from a vinyl sign company.. and I'm thinking instead of painting, wrapping.. the graphic artist suggested that I purchase the grille from Rock and have it sent to the sign shop for the alterations.
