Default Anyone replaced factory receiver hitch with rear bumper and hitch included ?

Looking at new rear bumpers. Most have 2" hitch included. I already have factory hitch/Tow pkg. any feedback on these?

Not many options without hitch included so curious of feedback

Thanks.

I replaced mine when I added my barricade rear bumper. The barricade bumper had the receiver but no where to hook safety chains so I welded a plate on the bottom of the receiver with holes for the chain.

I love my smittybilt XRC. It substantially increases the amount of weight the hitch can handle. It is rated for 5000 pounds. I towed a 5000 pound trailer with it quite a bit. It is has held up very well. I've had it for over 2 yrs now and it looks as good as new.

Shrockworks rear bumper works with the factory hitch.

Currently saving up the money to order one.

They are a bit pricy, but the bumper tire carrier set-up comes with the license plate and third brake light relocation hardware, including lights, and everything you need to stay legal. It also has a CB antenna mount and high lift jack mount built in already. Other racks/accessories are available at additional cost.

I assume you've got the 4 door?

yes. I've posted on here many times over the last few years about my towing experiences. I towed my heavy toyhauler originally with the factory receiver. I found that it could not handle the torsion from the weight distribution bars. The hitch would actually twist under the torsion, rendering the weight distribution much less effective. I knew I needed improvement, but I also needed a receiver that would certify the load rating capability. 99% of the bumpers with integral receiver do not actually say what they are rated for. The Smittybilt XRC does provide that certification. It ties the receiver to the frame rails via the plate steel of the bumper. I am thrilled with that purchase.

Cool! I couldn't tell from your photos and thought maybe you had a 2 door... and you said 5k pounds and I feared for your life.

I'll be hauling a small boat this spring and you're feedback is good to hear.

yep. This was my setup. Kick myself in the ass for selling the toyhauler. It was awesome.
