OK, I just looked at the window sticker and your right the factory had 245/75R16's. I guess the dealer must have put them on! Oh well those rims are in the basement and now I'm on 16's with 35's so my ratio is good! For something anyway

I think there is a rule of thumb to be told here. I came up with this so the side wall remains functional but doesnt turn into a rubber band. This gives you an idea of keeping the tread on the rocks and not the sidewall.
If you have a particular rim size you like take that diameter and double it. That will be the smallest tire you should run on that rim. that is how I came to my choice.
Wheel Diam. X 2 = Smallest Tire size allowed.
15 = 30
16 = 32
17 = 34
18 = 36
20 = 40

This logic is flawed and too simplistic. Take your example of 15/30". That is only a 7.5" sidewall height. Why would I now need a 10" sidewall height based on your 20/40" minimum to clear the same rocks? A 20" wheel and a 37" tire would still provide an 8.5" sidewall, or more sidewall then stock Rubicon wheels/tires and the same sidewall height as the popular 18" wheels and 35" tire combo.
ADD: Got to thinking. You cant go places with 30" Tires that you could with 35's. That side wall height comes in handy when serious trails are being run so you cant say its ok to run a 7.5 inch sidewall on either rim setup. Bigger tires are going to go places smaller tires wont so there IS NO COMPARING THEM.

Hey MK, I was gonna put a bid in on this but since you are in the market I dont want to run up the bid on ya!!! This one has the "wow???" factor...... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-....c0.m245.l1308
Did anyone read the sellers response to that guy calling it gay looking? Looks like the seller has class!
That looks like shit by the way. The Jeep is fine, but the wheels and tires.....
