Anyones mileage get better after adding a bumper/winch?
Mine did....I put the lift in and it went to crap as I was running no air dam or plastic thingy between bumper and grill. I had major hood lift and it was almost not drivable over 110kph.....I added I imagine close to 200lbs to the front...and all of a sudden I am getting crazy good mileage...better than when I was bone stock as a matter of fact. I am not basing this off of a quick glance at the computer either..I did a run yesterday that 4 hours in one direction just to get there and I could see how well my gas held up.....no more hood lift at all...and

And for the American guys:

Doesnt make any sense to me but I will take it!!!

OK, I can not speak for the lift you installed but most vendors' lifts get rid of the factory rake of the JK when you install it. This rake removal did two things you probably noticed:
1. The MPG went to crap
2. The hood started "bouncing" when you drove at higher speeds
That said, when you added the weight of that heavier bumper and winch combo on your Jeep, you likely gave it enough of a "rake" to restore some of that aeodynamics; thus improving MPG and prably getting rid of the hood bounce.
Take care,
Carl
