I have a gobi rack and just bought an Gobi mounting kit and ARB awning. My question is do those of you who have an awning leave it on 24/7 or do you mount it when you know you are going to use it? I was just curious. I was wondering how it fares in the sun and elements if left on.

I know a buddy of mine that always has it on his XJ. No issues with it always rolled up. Parks in his garage and in some shade at work sometimes too.
