ARB on-board
It's a bracket that's sold to mount the compressor in the JK's... got mine in a package from northridge... I think others sell it by itself if you search it out... If I recall it's not cheap on it's own...
I mounted mine a bit differently. My tank is on the other side of the compressor and the solenoids are pointed towards the driver's side wheel well. I wanted to keep those air lines as far from the engine and manifold as possible ...
Anyhow, my (and I also assume crawlermike's) compressor is mounted via a mounting plate that attaches to the bolts that secure the brake booster. You can get it from David at Northridge4x4. Another vendor sells an identical unit, but I cannot remember the name of it. BTW the mount is a PITA to install, but worth it in the end.

Lots of people do it, but the question is "what do you want to do with it?" The ARB only puts out 75-95 PSI, which is too low for running air tools, etc. It will fill up tires fairly well though. Yes you can modify the pressure switch so that the compressor puts out 145+ PSI, but I believe that is too much pressure if you plan on running ARB air lockers off of it.
