Default ARB bumper and Tow bar

Has anyone put a tow bar on a Jk with an ARB deluxe bumper yet? Is it possible to us the holes for the d rings to do it?

I have never pulled a vehicle this way before, always trailers or a tow dolly. Does the automatic do well pulling? I have read that you have to have the key in accessory position. Should I assume that you put the transfer case in neutral or the transmission in neutral?

The owner's manual says to put the tc on neutral for pulling the Jeep or dammage may occur.

Beat me to it, neutral or your jeep is done, double check the manual though just for a piece of mind

I tow my JK with a Roadmaster Sterling tow bar connected to my ARB Bull Bar. I had to slightly modify the base plate brackets, relocated one tab. The system has worked flawlessly for over 12,000 miles. I decided to not use the d-ring tabs. Hope this helps.

Could you please post a picture of it for me?

I'll attempt the picture for you. The way to tow the JK is with the transfer case in neutral and the transmission in park or in gear if it's a standard. Jeep recommends disconnecting the battery because the ignition has to be in accesory position to unlock the steering. I installed a switch to turn off power instead of disconnecting the battery. This system works fine and you don;t loose the radio settings.

The base plates I used are the standard roadmasters for the 2008 JK. With everything removed you have two 1" recievers under the bumper. They don't compromise the approach angle much if at all.
