Default Aries bumper quality-better now than before ??

I really like the look of the Aries full width bumpers, front and rear. What I don't like is that virtually everything that I have found on the Interwebs, reviews and pics alike, has been really negative when talking about the fit, finish, poor bolt hole locations and rust (at delivery).

In fairness, I have not seen anything written since 2012. And of course no one emails me back from their company....

Does anyone have recent experience with this bumper and the quality? I am interested mostly in the aluminum bumper, but would like input on their steel, as well.

Thanks

Just a thought. If the company can't take the time to email you to make a sale is there product really worth the hassles of purchasing it.

In looking up all sorts of bumpers, the Aries stood out in at least one area that I noticed: They are pretty heavy. If I recall correctly l, they weigh 130+

I can't speak to fit/finish/build quality though.

I don't yet know much about them, but about two weeks ago I found the same bumper and became extremely interested in it cause I thought it would look killer on my silver jku. The aluminum anyway with the silver center and black krinkle powdercoat end caps.

My concern was, I plan to bash my Jeep against rocks so plan my builds to do that. I was concerned how strong the aluminum would be as opposed to the steel and if it would hold up and still look good down the road. Makes me wonder. I wasn't ready to buy yet so haven't delved into the research on it yet.

I do get concerned when a company doesn't have the decency to mail back a possible customer. Makes me wonder how crappy they would be with existent customers since they've already obtained your money.

I also didn't like how I couldn't find a price tag anywhere on their site for them. Do you know how much they're running?

Mine is for light trails, beach and DD, so I am not concerned with the effects of rocks, etc. What I see is an unusual looking bumper, in aluminum, that would keep my weight down. I run 35's on LCOG no-lift, Rancho 9000's and RK 1.5 triples. I am just trying to keep weight down.

In fairness to the company that makes them, they have 4 stamping locations. They only sell through dealers, and I have not yet found one that carries them.

I am a bit concerned about the look of a full-width that extends upwards to the lower edge of the stock flares, as I use PureJeep flat flares. Not sure that the combination of the two pieces would compliment or confuse the look. I may have to look for an aluminum mid-width. I was interested in a full-width mainly because it gave me more coverage on for the front end on my DD. Thoughts?

I am interested in reviews about this bumper too. Morris 4x4 is a dealer.
