Default Assembled rear diff w/ locker install.

What would be involved in installing a used rear diff that already has an arb locker and new gears installed in it. Will it have to be disassembled/reassembled or can it basically bolt in place?

Yeah. It's a bolt in swap. You should drive down here one weekend and we'll have it in in about two hours. Lunch is on you.

Since the front DS is always spinning, you'll have to pull it until you get the front re-geared, right? (not just not use 4wd?)

Naw, I don't think so. Since the tranfer case ain't engaged, how fast the front DS spins has no bearing in the rest of the drivetrain.........I THINK. Someone please feel free to correct me, but I think that's right.

It's all good....until you toss someone else the keys and they engage the tcase ...just be careful if you don't remove the shaft....though simply by removing the shaft you may pick up an extra 1mpg until you get it re-geared, after a few months could make up some of the cost of new gears (jk)

I'de love to drive down Georgia, but thats a 4 hour drive from here. Its coming off another JK. Can somebody confirm whether or not I'll have to regear the front before I drive it in 2wd to the shop. The guys I"m gonna have regear my jeep are about 60 miles away.... thats a long way to have my jeep towed.
