ID:	411328I purchased a new set of ATX Slab beadlock wheels. I also have a new set of Toyo Open Country M/T 37x13.50x17. I am having an issue mounting the tires. This is my first time using beadlocks so please bear with me. The problem I'm having is the lock ring appears to larger than the diameter of the bead on the tire by about 1/4". This is a problem because the bead is recessed from the sidewall. Hopefully, the pictures will help give a better understanding of what is going on. I know these wheels are pretty common. Can someone please tell me what is going on or how I should proceed.

They look good to me. The outside part of the bead ring goes up against the ribbed section in picture 2. You should have the ribbed circle around the ring when you bolt it down.

Torque it to only about 25 ft lbs on all the bolts. PM me if you want to call me for a better explanation.

yup that looks right to me... you can use 4 longer bolts to get the ring started and pull the ring down if you are having issues with the ring being to far away to start the bolts.. but looks like you got it from what i can see.

Yeah, I finally figured it out yesterday and got them all mounted. Placing the wheel/tire on a bucket really helped out. The wieght of the tire pulling down tends to open the bead protector up allowing the ring to fit into the bead area. Thanks to everyone who offered tips and advise.

Nice! I had a metal pot below underneath rim when seating the tire bead LOL. How much space can you feel between the ring and outside wheel facing, Ive got like 3-4 mm. The rings sits almost flush when bolted down good but consistent all the way around if you run your finger tip around the ring. Had to torque 3 times in a week just to make sure no bolts come loose. I didn't even have to balance my rims and tires after everything was assembled.

I had mine (Toyo's) balanced and they all took weight. Between 4-8 ozs...
