Default ATX Slab mounting question

Ok, so after waiting several months to get my Slabs they finally arrive minus all the bead lock bolts. I get ahold of EVO and they ship me the hardware. Tonight I started mounting my first one and notice right away I can't get the beadlock bolt to thread onto the rim. Correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't the beadlock bolts thread onto the rim? So I pulled the ring and test fitted the bolt and it just falls through the rim holes. I checked the hardware shipping receipt and it says I was shipped allen bolts PS756 3/18"-16 1.5" long, are these the right bolts or am I just retarded when it comes to mounting these things?

The 3/8" allen bolts actually thread into the machined holes in the wheels. The ring has no threads so the bolts just go through it into the wheel itself. The tough part is getting the first couple of bolts started in the wheel because the bolts will barely reach. Once you get a few started, you will be off and running. It's a good idea to use anti-seize on the bolt threads. Be patient, just keep going around and tightening them down a little at a time so the ring clamps down evenly. Make sure the ring seats down over the bead of the tire correctly. Using a rubber or plastic mallet on the sidewall works great. Good luck, you'll love them!

I realize they don't thread onto the ring, the problem is the bolts fall through the threaded holes on the rims, they are too small for the width of the threaded holes.

They sent me 3/18, should they be 3/8?

3/18? did you mean 3/16? Are they really that small 3/16 is half the size of 3/8. Take the bolts EVO sent you to a hardware store and findout what size they are.

I just re-read your other post if they are 16 threads per inch 3/8-16 that is a common size and sounds like what they should use. 3/18 is not a size. Go to a hardware store and either buy a couple bigger bolts and see what fits or take the wheel with you and test them at the store.

Do not replace all the bolts with ones from the hardware store cause those botls should be grade 8 do you will have to call EVO and talk to them.

I was told I should have threaded inserts and that's why the bolts seem too small. Anyone else remember if their slabs came with threaded inserts?
