Default Aussie Locker

Any experience with it in the front of d30?

How does it drive like in 2wd? Is it noticeable?

4wd does it lock under accleration or all times?

So the Aussie is similar to this style of locker here, as well:

Lock-Right Locker - Dana Model 30

In 2WD you really won't notice it much... some say it "tightens" up the steering a bit.

Off road is where it will shine. Sometimes when it "kicks in" you will feel a little pop or ratchet from the locker. For the price point a locker of this style is tough to beat.

So in 2wd my axle stays open because no torque being applied to front will still steer the same.

Correct! Some says it feels a little "tighter" but not like when the front is engaged.

I say do it! I had one in the rear of my TJ. It worked great! You shouldn't notice it at all in the front when in 2wd, in 4wd it will lock up immediately

I have an Aussie in the front works great. Can't tell its there in 2wd. When locked in on the trail you will learn to let off and keep the power off when turning on tight turns.
