Aussie rear / front lockers
I'm re-gearing the 2015 JK this winter and of course that's the perfect time to install lockers. I like the cost and simplicity of the Aussies. Installing on up front is a no brainer but what about installing one in the rear? I assume a new open carrier would need to be ordered as well for the rear. I'm not building a crawler but looking to make her capable during our exploring adventures.
Do I really need a rear locker? I'm thinking it wouldn't be a bad investment to help keep the Jeep moving forward through the nasty mud or crawling up rocky trails etc.

Have you considered the truetrac? It's more expensive than the front aussie, but I personally would prefer the TT over an auto-locker up front since I get up into snow and ice on occasion.
For the rear, I assume you have the clutch-based factory limited? (at one point, the 3.6 models had issues with rear auto-lockers. I have not kept up on whether that is still an issue?)

Snow and Ice is far and in between for me (North Georgia). Aussie with it's price and great reviews will be hard to buy something else for my use. My JKU has truetrac in the rear already.
To the best of my knowledge, rear auto lockers still throw the JK (12 and later) Jeep into limp mode. I've not installed one in years due to the issue. I've not seen any of the tuners be able to correct it.
