I was running 33 BFG ATs for awhile, with 4 88s. I added a RIPP SC last year and my jeep was a beast. Gas mileage shot up to 17-18 on the highway from 15mpg and it would cruise at 80-85 like it was doing 60. Recently I jumped up to 35s.. BFG ATs.... and i am hating life. I just took a trip and my gas mileage was horrible and the transmission was jumping up and down like a damn bunny. EVEN with a stage II RIPP supercharger, doing 75-80 was a nightmare.

I am actually thinking about going to 5:13s now................

OK, so what about going the other way? What about 5.38s instead of 5.13s?

another thing to think about that i learned off this forum is that if you have a D30 front axle and decide to go with 5.13 gears, your ring and pinion is going to be really small and make the axle even more prone to breaking then having say 4.88 gears, if i ever regear itll probably be 4.88 unless i get a nice PR44

It has probably been talked to death but I just had my gears changed to 4.88 thanks to some advise from friends and serious pros. I can feel the diffrence. the rpms doesnt climb near as high on highway driving and gas mileage is about same if not a little better

Thanks T&T Customs
