I was considering this early on. Read through this forum for a while and you'll see that there seems to be more manual trans issues than auto..

ok i would look for someone that swapped a manual 3.8 out for a hemi . you sould be able to get the majority of the parts needed including a computer. this would be the easiest / less expensive route.

If your looking for lower gearing out 4 wheeling just put in a Atlas or something, much easier and much better use of modding $$$'s and time.

If it's freeway issues, then change your gearing to 4.88,, 5.13, etc.

I'll I've had all 3 of my past Jeeps with Manual Transmissions. I decided to get an Auto this time because of the endless low range without stalling, and my 4/1 Rocktrac transfer case. Even with 35's and 4.10's in 4 low 1st gear, it is plenty slow. I Love it, the freeway, at 75, I might be better with 5.13, but I can live with it as is for now.

I'm sure there are reasons for a Manual (I hear rock crawling is one), but it better be a really good reason as all the above will make your Jeep rock!.

After all that if you decide you still need a manual, you can still use all these wonderful mods!

Mod on my Friend!

I would trade my deep blue 2 dr stick for your auto but I think you just need to regear with your 37's
