Default Auto trans coolers

What size and type of transmission coolers is everybody running?
Is it best to use one with an electric fan for slow trails and off road parks?
Just asking...
Thanks...

You could void your warranty according to my dealer. I wouldn't do it.

I did not use the fan powered one, just the largest B&M one from summit. I figured when my trans is really working at high speeds I obviously have plenty of airflow so a fan isn't needed. When the trans is working at low speeds, the engine will be hot too due to no airflow and the radiator fan will come on and pull airflow. Plus I was too lazy to wire up the additional sensors and switches.

I've used this set up through a few wheeling trips in the last few months and my engine temp never got a hair over normal, straight up, and I haven't received the dreaded "hot oil" warning. Granted I'm not monitoring my trans temp, i'm just going with the "something is better than nothing" mentality on my trans temp.

As far as the dealer is concerned. It says in the owners manual that an aux cooler is recommended for heavy towing etc. So again the dealer better prove that my aux cooler did anything destructive before they void anything. I don't see a cooler doing anything but good, will have my tranny last LONGER, not break anything.

There are many writes ups on this subject so search around.
