Ok, I was thinking about this and tried to find any post on it with no luck...

Has any one looked into swapping a new 5spd auto for the 4spd and leavign the 3.8 in there. It would help with the extra gear and the lower 1st gear. I'm wondering what the bolt pattern change and what not would be.

 

Even if it will bolt up, it might also involve some computer programming changes. These auto trannies all talk to a computer now I think.
