Default Axle Center Tolerance

I am working on centering my axle after installing the lift in my sig. I am wondering what is the tolerance? It was off by about a cm, now it is off by 2 mm but I cannot seem to get it dialed in any closer than that. Should it be EXACT? Or is 2mm ok?
