Default Axle conversion

Well, I am undergoing a major upgrade to my jeep. i will be putting in new axles, coilover for the front, and a home made long arm suspension. I will do a write up on the project and post it here. That said, I am currently doing my gear set up and wanted feedback on the pattern. This is for a Sterling 10.25 and I am installing 4.88 gears. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

I have dialed in the preload and my backlash is at .007 inches. My concern is around pinion depth. Since this axle was housing a 10.5 ring and pinion, I did not have an easy starting point.

I guess what I am worried about is my pinion depth. The line at the facet appears clear and staight... I want to know if that means I need to decrease my shims or not. I have seen mixed thoughts on it so I figured I would put it here and get some thoughts
