Default AXLE Options

Hi Guys,

Looking into a Front axle. Well my front factory E-locker is experiencing some issues without disengaging. Haven't fully trouble shooted the issue as of yet but I'm looking for alternitives for just in case. I did call up ARB and it sounds like there lockers only are 35 spline fronts and I'm not about to go that way with a basically Dana 30 front. Prorock 60 is like 9k plus and anything else is around 8k or so. What are guys using from a Junk yard swap? Found a Dana 60 front 3500 Dodge axle from a guy selling one. I do know that the width of the axle comes into play and possibly all new parts like axle shafts, brakes, calipers, new rims, new drive line, new gears, locker and relocation of the brackets. Now is it worth using a cleaned up axle? Any recommendations are excepted.

Just beef up the housing and do the ARB with 35 splines.

You could do a PR44. Unless you plan on doing a D60 rear also. As far as junkyard you can do a complete build of 05-10 f250-350 super duty axles (sterling10.5 rear and d60 front) for about $5-7k depending on your own skill level.

Or some guy on pirate was selling stock rubicon lockers for cheap. I think around $200. Replace what you have. It's not a bad locker and the cheapest solution.

I might sell you a Rubicon front axle. I have weld-in sleeves, LCA skids and "C" gussets.
I am thinking about a PR44.

I'll have to take a look at that. That's an option I was hopping to find.

Thank you for the thought but the axle is fine. If I go to another axle it's going to be a 60 so I can go to 40's.

What's your gear ratio? I might be interested if you're selling.
