Default B&M cooler question

I installed the B&M trans cooler tonight. After I got done retread the original post in the write-up section. In that section and there are a lot of people who have followed that post,it say to run the top line to the transmitting. Yet the diagram from B&M says to run the top line to the radiator. Not sure what or if I did something wrong. If so do I need to change it right away?

I installed one of these. Think the difference is how you mount it. With both facing the top doesn't make a difference which one is in or out. If you mount it with them facing left or right it affects the flow. Hope this makes sense.

The lower fitting is in and the upper is out.

I installed it facing the right. Is there a problem if it is backwards?

Probably gonna need to switch it. Imagine it has something to do with the way the system purges the air out. Just a guess. But like the other guy said I followed those instructions and it works great.

According to one of the original write ups on this install, the author siad he had contacted B&M directly and they said yes it does matter. So if you have it backwards you might want to switch it. Just a thought......

Knowing I was not correct and everyone else wrong I got out of bed last night and changed switched the lines. Fortunately had enough hose and was able to do it at the cooler which made it a simple job. Guessing that it different for each car manufacture. Thanks, did not want to trash the trans on my way to work.

I have done the same thing before. Not been able to sleep until I knew it was right. Glad you were able to fix it.
