I bought a 07 X back in March. I took it knowing that the gears where 3.21. I know should have got the 4.10's, but I didn't want to get stuck in the wait that I was hearing others go though. It's a 6-speed and my question is..

If I go up in tire size from 225/75/16 to a 265/75/16 or 285/75/16 will this kill all my power?

90% of my driving is in town where I seldom get past 5th, and where I do off-road it is mostly strip jobs and old logging roads. So I get allot of dirt, mud, ditches and a few logs, but not allot of rocks to crawl over.

I had a mildly lifted with disconnects 95 YJ when I was 17, with the 4cyl. and 32x11.5x15 on it and it went anywhere I wanted and more than a few places I probably shouldn't have. An I'd like to have that kind of performance again.

For your purposes, you will be just fine and won't even notice the power loss until you get up into the 285 or taller tire and only when on the highway going up long grades.

Yeah man, I had 3.21's 6 speed, and 33"s for a long time and it wasn't that bad at all. You should be good.
