mine are 4" and they still rub the TF disco's at full flex with the wheels at full lock.. (while the disco's are "parked") If I strap the sway bar to the frame, all is well.. Dont know if that helped your concern

the less BS you have the more the tires stick out..

Quoted from WOL:

"Q: What back spacing will I need on my wheels in order to clear 12.50 wide tires?
A: I would recommend that you do not exceed 4.75" of back spacing and even at that, you may still have some minor rubbing up front at a full turn. Also, I would recommend that you do not go any less than 3.75" as anything less would cause your tires to stick out very far past the fender flares. Any back spacing within this range should work out great."

No, No, NO..

Myself and others are running cragar soft 8's with the 5" of backspacing, and they are doing just fine with no rubbing.

if you stick with a 285/75r16 you will not have any problems. if you go to a 305 you might.

so.. 33X11.5r16 will work just fine and you wont have ANY rubbing (at least due to backspacing issues) you may have some minor, very minor, rubbing at full suspension stuff.

33x12.5r16 may run into problems associated with backspacing on the 5". you would probabley have to run 4.5 or less not to have an issue ith the 12.5(i would still use the cragar soft 8's but I would run spidertrax spacers[or another high quality spacer that is 1.5" or less].

heres what my jeep looks like while running soft 8's with 5inch backspacing on 33's with no lift.

The last picture has nothing to do with backspacing(it has everything to do with no lift) It's at full suspension stuff and looks like it is rubbing.. its not (only has about 1/4 inch though!

Are you getting the Cragars at great deal...Have you considered similar wheels such as the pro comp series 97...Their 16x8 comes in 4.25" BS...You'll have less likely hood of rubbing and can run 12.5" wide tires....
