Most 35's are 12.5" wide, thats what mine happen to be. My wheels are 17x8 with 4.5" of backspacing. Probably, 5" or less will do. Stock is 6.25".

I'm running 18's with 5.25" BS and no contact issues yet, not including the plastic air dam, which I trimed. I also had to trim it to make it match the lines of the new bumper, so I killed two birds with one stone.

Why not just remove the air dam? Is it really providing that much aerodynamic benefits? The JK is a little more substantial than my old YJ, which was a tin can with a tent on top, but the aerodynamics still aren't that great.

If you take the Jeep off road most likely it's just gonna get destroyed.
