Default Backspacing?

2009 JK with 33s. What is the proper backspacing needed? Looking for a good flush tire and fender look. I would like to increase the footprint a bit but not so much that they stick out and look retarded. Thanks

I went with 4.25" of BS on 16x8 rims and will be running 285/75R16 ( 33's or close to it) I think you'll almost have to expect some tire sticking out maybe a bit, or else you'll rub in full turn.

Heres the main link to all the info regarding our jeep specs

It's dependent on wheel and tire size. In your application and not knowing the tire width, 4-4.5" with an 8" wheel and 4.25-4.75" with a 9" wheel.

As long as you go no higher than 33" and no wider than 11.5", you can get away with 5" of backspacing which will sit the outside of your tires just about flush with the fender flare and have no rubbing. NOTE: this works well with 16" and 17" wheels.

I will also suggest a leveling kit or 2" budget boost to complete the look.

This is my new-upcoming set up and it will work.
