Default Backspacing/ Offset help

I have a 2" BB on my 10JK and looking to put Nitto Trail Grapplers (33's) on an 18" wheel. The problem is that the wheels I like (Ultra Barons) come with 12mm offset and 5.5" BS. Will I rub? The tires are shown to beless than 12" wide according to the website.

I know the questions I have are on this forum somewhere but there is simply too much information to sort thru and find. If anybody has info or links to info it would be greatly appreciated!

The FAQ's stickied to the top of this modified area are generally a good place to start.

Stock BS is 6.25", your new rims are 5.5. Your new tires are 1" taller and 2" wider than stock 32's. Right?

So, you moved them out .75", but they are 1" wider and will stick in an additional .5" from the height increase. Is your front axle centered? If not, one side will be a bit closer to the tire, so you should take that into consideration also.

My preference would be to find a BS less than 5 for those tires, but if you do choose them, you can always bring in the steer stops if/when you rub.

My wheels have the same offset/backspacing (12mm/5.5"). It was actually the offset/backspacing I was looking for.

I do run Duratracs 34.4x12.7" tires. No rub at all even at full flex. I just have a 2.5" lift.

If I would have used 9" wheels with 4.5" backspacing I would have hit the fenders when flexing.

I do run disconnected it the last pictures. And I do not hit the swaybar at full turn.
Do not forget that the OP is talking of 9" wheels. 9" wheels with 5.5" backspacing are equivalent to 7.5" wheels with 4.75" backspacing.

Where did 6.25" come from anyways? I did an accurate measurement on my rims that came with my X(17 x 7.5 with 44.45mm offset) and my bs is 6 1/16"

Good question. I do not know either.
