A month ago I purchased a 2013 jkus, with dual tops, premium sunrider, max toe, 3.73, lsd, connectivity and alpine, auto.. i roughly owe 31,800.. in that month i put on AEV 2.5xt, geo correction brackets, 315/70/17 MTR/K, AEV pintler, Teraflex tire carrier.

I am thinking of trading for a 2013 new JKUR with connectivity, leather, heated seats, auto , max toe, 4:10, premium sunrider soft top. It would be a new build so i would drive my current vehicle for 6 weeks and at time of trade in it would have 4000 miles. Price is 34,100

I can trade in stock, but keep the hard top and get 28,000 or trade in as it sits but keep the hard top and they will give me 31,000- 31,500.

I can buy eveything again at the prices I paid. I saves money on the tires and install.

Is this stupid.
We went to Uwharrie and had a blast, and i want to off road more.

Also I would be out the door for everything @ 35,000 for trade in and Rubicon purchase, plus I would still have my hardtop.

So you have roughly at $3000 difference in trade-in values. So to me if the parts you put on are greater than 3k keep em and put on rubi if close to same or less let em have em. And I guess you have my opinion on what you should do about getting rubi. Hard to go wrong with a rubi imho

You can put a tow package and gears in your current ride for less than the difference

Why is it you want the Rubi? To run URE? With lockers and 35's you can take all the hard lines up the hardest trail there. Unless there's another reason, I'd sleeve and gusset your front end and install selectable lockers in both axles. Personally, I think 3.73's and 35's are fine, but mine's a manual.

2x at that point with everything he has done it would be a shame to trade it back in for a loss buy a d44 for the front and call it a day!

i was looking at the difference in price for the
d44
4:10
sway bar
lockers
leather
heated seats
auto climate

I spent 4100 on parts put only 2700 out of pocket... I got 700 for my oem wheels, another 400 seeling parts and another 850 working two deals on wheels.

I got the dealer to go 31000 on my trade 33,900 for the rubi the way i want... put the deal will take place once my ordered jeep comes in 6 weeks. they could not locate. so by that time i will have bought the wheels, tires, lift... and I will owe less than 31,800.
The Wife said if it would make me happy do it... but it must have the same lift wheels and stuff... so Win Win for me.
