... I currently have my first set of 37x13.50 Baja Claws and currently have 35k miles on them. I am blown away by how much tread is left. I can say I drive alot as the JK Unlimitd I have is a year and 3 months old, they set went on with 1k miles on Jeep total.
There is alot f tread left and religiously rotated every 2500, they are not as cupped as expected. Only thing I can complain about, that i thought would be the opposite, is that they have gotten louder the more wear and miles put on them (the less tread they have).
My buddy just put on new KM2's literally today, and said they are louder than my Claws he drove on a month ago.

I have to say, I just put on my KM2s and they are almost silent. Extremely quiet. I haven't rode with the claws, but I would be surprised if they were quieter than the KM2s. I expected the KM2s to be much louder than they are. Just my 2 cents.
I have 33" Claws on my TJ and 32" KM2's on my JK and the KM2's are a lot quieter. I love the look of the Claws and they clean out real good but man are they loud on the road.
Claws can be run backwards. Its actually a very popular thing to do for rock climbers. Most all of them run them in reverse. So using one as a spare is not an issue, although it will look funny. If you plan on running it longer than it takes to get the other tire fixed (ie, you rotate you tires using the spare) just run it on the side it goes will.
However, make sure you rotate them front to back on a regular 3-5k mile basis or they get this really weird form of cupping, where every other lug will be lower than the ones next to it.

I also will be trying to run the tires in a reverse direction this year sometime.
